Bitcoin Briefly Falls to $19,000 and ApeCoin Loses $1,280

Today in Cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin briefly fell to 18,930 in the past hours and started trading at 19,000 in the following minutes. BTC lost about 7% last week, while cryptocurrencies’ total market cap decreased from 970 billion to 918 billion.

The second largest cryptocurrency, Ethereum, lost the 1,300 level and started trading at 1,280 in the following minutes. ETH has dropped about 6% in the past week.

Among the leading altcoins, XRP was the one that experienced the hardest hit. XRP, which rose to 0.54 last week and saw the highest levels of the last five months, lost value by more than 5% today and regressed to 0.49 in the following minutes.

The native token of the Cardano blockchain, ADA, lost 4.5% following XRP. ADA experienced a 10% decline last week and is currently trading at 0.39.

Among the top 50, the cryptocurrency that experienced the hardest fall today is ApeCoin (APE). APE has lost 11% in the last 24 hours and is currently trading at 4.6.
